Rebecca Cooper is currently in her first year at Goldsmiths University, London studying for a BA in Fine Art. The nineteen year old from Northamptonshire has previously gained a Distinction in a Foundation Degree. Her work is often considered provocative and suggestive without being confrontational; including a current focus towards pornographic photographs.
Whilst still working on a year long, currently Untitled piece through the first year of her Degree, Rebecca Cooper has begun to conceptualise "Sexual Interventions". This public display of work and ideas has been seen so far in phone boxes around London, replacing the 'vice cards' used to display prostitues and contact numbers.
Similar ideas are presented through traditional feminine craft including tapestry and knitting. These objects will soon be shown in a collaborative group show in South East London.
